About the Center: The regional center in Southeast Asia (specific location cannot be identified for security purposes) was officially dedicated in 2004. They began producing audio projects right away. The audiocassettes and CDs were widely accepted and had immediate impact.

In 2008 alone, the center produced 15 programs on audiocassette, and having moved also into video production, 5 video programs (in 9 different languages!). Some are teaching programs, and some are music CDs. The regional director is a national working in his own culture, therefore he understands the strongholds that Buddhism has in the region. The programs they produce use things in the culture that Buddhists already believe in, that actually point toward Christ being the one true God.

One of the most amazing stories is regarding the impact of a simple audiocassette. It was recorded in the heart language of a local tribe. Their language, and thus their identity, was dying because the schools were forcing their tribe’s young people to use their national language instead of their tribal language. Nothing had ever been professionally recorded in their tribe’s heart language. So, when they received our Christian recordings they were elated because it meant their language would be preserved! Because of this, Buddhist monks went from telling their constituencies to harass Christians to telling them, “The Christians are good—they are helping preserve our language and culture!” The most amazing thing as told by our regional director is, “Previously, when evangelist tried to share the gospel in this region (an entire state) many people, especially the elderly would not listen. Now, for the first time ever we are seeing elderly people come to Christ!”

The measure of effective Christian communication is the fruit it bears. Earlier this year, two national evangelists visited two specific villages, teaching the Word of God and sharing GNPI audio and video materials. The result—in this hostile, dangerous country, 400 people from just two small rural villages heard, repented, and decided to follow Christ. That is eternal fruit!
