| Summary: This project involves producing and duplicating 500 copies of a CD containing Christian songs for children. Kids and teens pay attention to music and this CD will allow us to more easily reach the young people for Jesus. Our hope is that these young people can become little evangelists who share the Bible stories with their parents and friends. |
Context: The North India Christian Mission runs an elementary school in the Barwala area, and has over 300 students, many of whom do not come from Christian homes. One of the strategies for reaching into the community with the Gospel message is to plant the seeds of faith into the hearts of the young people. This CD of Christian songs for children will be a tool that can be given to children. The hope is that this music will touch the hearts of the kids and ultimately have an impact in their homes where they can share it with their parents, siblings, friends, and other relatives.
Impact:
As the work in north India has grown, our ministry has come in contact with several thousand children who are poor, illiterate orphans, and many come from unloving parents. Our desire is to be able to reach these young people with the Gospel so that it can give them hope in dealing with these very difficult life situations. Many of the songs on this CD are short stories that come directly from the Bible. Some song titles include God is Merciful and Sacrifice. By sharing these with the children, they will come to know and understand God, and they will be encouraged to share the stories with others.
