Chandigarh, India
India is a country of such vast cultural and language differences between regions that a second regional center was established there. In 2003, another Indian staff partnered with the North India Christian Mission in Chandigarh, India. Located in the northern Punjab region of India. this region shares a border with Pakistan, and many of the productions made at the Chandigarh center will be in the Punjabi language.
Chennai, India
Chennai, India is located on the east coast of southern India and is home to more than 6 million of India’s 1.1 billion people. It is the fourth largest city in India and one of the 35 largest metropolitan areas in the world. The name was changed (from Madras) to Chennai in 1996, although Madras is still widely used. The eleventh regional center for Good News Productions, International was dedicated in Chennai in May of 2006.
Damoh, India
Located near the center of the world's second most populated country, this regional center was the first for GNPI, opening its doors in partnership with Mid-India Christian Mission in 1989. This center is communicating the Gospel to the people of India in a variety of exciting ways including teaching videos for use in home churches - common places of worship in that region of the world.
Nairobi, Kenya
Exciting things are happening at GNPI-Africa! Since 1994, the staff of eight Africans and one American has produced materials in 34 different languages and continues to work translating materials for the greatest possible benefit. The work of this center has tackled the pandemic of AIDS in Africa, influenced the issue of abortion, and even helped teach how to grow a successful garden in the harsh climate.
Piedras Negras, Mexico
The Center for Hispanic Advancement began in 1997 and is now located in Piedras Negras, Mexico. The work there targets the 350 million Spanish-speaking people with the Gospel of Christ, through multimedia. The staff, all native Hispanics, is committed to the work, and the Lord has opened doors to several projects covering God’s Word on such social issues as gang activity, alcoholism, sexual purity, and domestic violence.
Manila, Philippines
The GNPI center established in 1998 in Manila, Philippines is committed to working with local churches to plant seeds by teaching on everyday social issues and offering Christ’s answers to real world needs. GNPI-Philippines produces a weekly Bible teaching program called Asin at Ilaw (Salt and Light) for television broadcast. Asin at Ilaw has been on the air for more than 11 years and has won many awards for quality and content.
Chiang Mai, Thailand
GNPI in partnership with Freedom Films Productions works to produce video, slide, and filmstrip materials for Thailand, Myanmar, and China. Established in 1993, this center works with missionaries to develop important teaching tools and effective visual media to reach those in Thailand and beyond with the timeless message of Christ in a culturally sensitive way they can understand.
Simferopol, Ukraine
Since 1999, Sergei Golovin, a Russian geophysicist, brilliant research scientist, and Christian apologist in Simferopol, Ukraine has partnered with GNPI as regional director. He and his Ukrainian staff use factual scientific issues to open the minds of Russian-speaking people to the truths of Christ. The center has completed several important projects including the six-part Science and the Bible video series.
Joplin, Missouri (USA)
The Research and Production Center in Joplin was dedicated in 1976 and serves as the hub for many global partnerships in evangelism, leadership training, and general mission awareness. One unique and exciting aspect of Good News Productions, International is the goal to have each regional center staffed by nationals from the country where they serve.
Youth
Good News Productions, International is committed to youth! Around the world GNPI’s projects increasingly target teen sexuality and abortion, street children, peer pressure, self esteem and godly living. Young people everywhere are seeking answers to these burning questions. GNPI is responding.
