Deepak and Simmi Dingrah are both native to Punjab, India, and oversee the regional center in Chandigarh, India. Deepak, regional director, was raised in a Hindu family and Simmi’s family is Sikh. This makes them an ideal couple to lead this center in the Punjab region, which is predominantly Hindu and Sikh. Deepak gave his life to Christ after graduating from college. He and Simmi had been married for one year when she became a Christian.

Most recently, they have completed two audiocassettes of praise and worship music. Both cassettes are “Satsang,” a traditional style of music Punjabis are very comfortable listening to or singing.
Deepak’s desire is that the missionaries all around the Chandigarh region will benefit greatly from the materials produced at this regional center. GNPI-Chandigarh focuses their work completely on audio at this time. Audiocassettes are a great way to share the Gospel in this area, as thousands of people cannot read or write.
Additionally, there are many regions where no Christian teaching is available at all, and the projects produced by this center could be the first time some have heard the name of Jesus. “Our national missionaries use many tools to spread the Gospel in North India, but to reach the hundreds of thousands of villages who are without a church or missionary, we can use radio, audio productions, and other means,” Deepak said.
