Meet Gurpal
Gurpal (left) owns a shop in India and has spent most of his life going to temples seeking to cleanse himself from sin.
A minister left some audiocassettes that had been produced by GNPI-Chandigarh with him, and Gurpal played one out of curiosity. It literally changed his life…
“I went every week to my sacred and holy temple, where I would bathe and try to cleanse my sin. I worked all my life to wash my sins away.
When I heard the song that said that God sent His Son to cleanse our sins with His blood, this was something new and soothing to my ears and heart. The concept of a personal God who works with you in this life, instead of leaving you to work things out by yourself was such a new experience for me. My fear of living in guilt from my past sins gave way to trusting Jesus’ sacrifice for my sins. I found comfort and peace. I finally found my true and living God, Yeshu (Jesus), right in my shop.”
Now Gurpal has a burden to share the Good News with others. He makes his own copies of the GNPI recordings he received and gives them away. This shop owner was able to start witnessing right away, using the same media tool that meant so much to him.
