Only A Candy Bar

World War II was raging, and the entire nation was at work. Factories had retooled, and were running full steam ahead. In one factory, two sisters sat, resting during a break. One suggested that they get a candy bar. The other stopped and reasoned that a candy bar wasn’t necessary, and if they saved their money it could be used in spreading the message of Christ around the world.

The young American was teaching English as a second language in China. He was sipping tea one afternoon as he shared his faith with an inquisitive student. The shop owner overheard the conversation, when in chagrin the American lamented that he didn’t have any more The Source of Love DVDs to give away to this student who wanted to know more about Christ.

Highlights From the Birthplace of GNPI

Days were filled with excitement as Missionary Max Randall flew his Stinson aircraft from South Africa to make survey trips into what was Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabawe). Ray Knapp was his main contact. About the same time, Rhodesian Prime Minister Garfield Todd arranged to meet John Pemberton and Dennis Pruett on a trip to Canada. He gave them a personal invitation to join the work by New Zealand and Australian missionaries at Dadaya Mission.
