On my recent visit to northern India, I was asked to preach for the local people. I was told that many of them may not be Christians. Apparently, when people are attracted to Christianity, they will often come to attend church services, but generally watch from the sidelines. After observing and listening to the teachings about Christ for several months, some will become convicted of their sins and will then commit to follow Him.

The semi-automatic weapons belched forth fire as the terrorists made the execution. The only dust that settled quickly was from the blood of one of God’s great servants - Simon Sithole. He fell to the ground and his earthly tabernacle gave up the spirit.

In late 1976, thirty-seven major denominations banded together in a unified effort to harness the technology of the Applied Technology Satellite No. 6. The challenge had come through Colonel Lawson Wynne, by the U. S. Government and NASA, that churches could use the experimental communication satellite if all programming would be: (1) non-sectarian (Bible only, like Frank Borman’s reading from Apollo 10 on Christmas Eve), (2) in the language and culture of the people to whom the programs are beamed, and (3) with no blatant preaching.

"One of a Kind" Letter . . .

Letters like the one we received from our regional director in south east Asia last week may only come once in a decade!
Because of security issues, I can’t share the person’s name, location or full contents of the letter. But in stilted English, he shared about his vision, along with that of his colleagues to reach their country—a very dangerous country—for Christ!
